Chancellor Returns Home From Visit to Greater China
Chancellor Carolyn “Biddy” Martin returned Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, from a 12-day tour of Greater China that included stops in Beijing, Hong Kong and Taipei. Click on the UW China page to see the Chancellor’s comments reflecting on the trip.

The article called the current group of Chinese Champions spending six months on the UW-Madison campus “the first time in the history of new China that such a large group of elite athletes has been sent abroad to study.”

Receipt during a press conference in Taipei of a collection of 30 celebrated Chinese-language feature films.

A conference with Taiwan Vice President Vincent Siew, Premier Wu Den-yih and others.

Visits to National Taiwan University, which has 44 UW-Madison alumni on staff, and also to National Taiwan Normal University and National Chengchi University.
